Crandon Beach
6747 Crandon Blvd, Key Biscayne, FL 33149
Crandon Park, an 800-acre oasis on Key Biscayne, was once part of the country’s largest coconut plantation. It was owned by South Florida industrialist William Matheson, whose family donated the land to the county in 1940 to create the park. Today, Crandon Park’s visitors are treated to a picturesque beach, golf course, tennis center, nature center and marina. The treasure of scenic Key Biscayne, Crandon Park is located in Bear Cut Preserve. Its two-mile-long sandy beach boasts sand dunes brimming with wildlife, from butterflies to herons.
