St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church
1401 Coral Ridge Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33071
On the tenth anniversary in September 1985 of Elizabeth Ann Seton’s canonization, about 300 Catholics in Coral Springs gathered to celebrate a liturgy in her honor at the Ramblewood Middle School, and the Catholic Community of Saint Elizabeth Ann Seton was born. Parishioners established a number of ministries to support family life and religious education classes were begun. By the time a parish center and education building were built in 1989, the parish had blossomed to more than 2,200 families with more than 1,400 students enrolled in religious education classes, prompting the parish to establish a pre-school, Seton Ridge Children’s Center.
The parish continued to grow, youth groups for middle and high school students were formed to meet regularly for prayer, community service and fellowship. Evangelization efforts continued to attract adults to religious education classes. The completion of the second phase arrived, and a beautiful church and chapel were dedicated on October 14, 2001.
