“Love is patient, love is kind… Love always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always preserves.” On October 9th, 2015, love, excitement and hope found a permanent home in two beautiful souls: Susel and Christian.
Susel and Christian wanted a traditional Catholic wedding at St Augustine Catholic Church. The ceremony took place in the nave of the church. The hall impressed through its décor and atmosphere, talking one closer to spirituality.
The Catholic wedding ceremony started with Susel walking down the aisle. When Christian first saw his bride, time stopped. He had never seen her that radiant, that beautiful. Susel’s smile as she gracefully walked towards him remains embossed it in his memory. He hoped and made a promise to himself to try and make her smile every day as long as they’ll be.
Susel and Christian’s Catholic wedding ceremony continued with the priest asking for God’s blessings. The couple exchanged their vows and sealed their union with a heartwarming kiss that drew cheers from their friends and family.
The newly wedded couple decided to have their reception at Douglas Entrance, a wedding venue preserved on the National Register of Historic Places. The Douglas Entrance welcomes its guests with a classic arch, bell tower, and fountains meant to inspire the romantic in everyone.
There are three flights of antic rustic stairs to climb in order to enter the ballroom. The journey is worth the view, as the ceiling, decorated with a huge antic chandelier, is unforgettable.
